A Note on Jersey Numbers
- Returning Travel players (as in players who played WHC Travel Hockey in Fall/Winter 2025-2026 season) will have their current jersey number reserved until midnight on Thursday, May 21, 2026. If a Uniform Kit is not purchased by that time, the number will be released.
- Players new to Travel Hockey will be assigned a jersey number at their fitting. Boards with available numbers will be provided at the fittings to assist with selection.
Jersey Numbers
Jersey numbers will align with players' birth year
- Odd-numbered birth years will have odd jersey numbers
- Even numbered birth years will have even jersey numbers
- Goalies will typically receive a number in the 30s
Players are assigned a number when they enter the program that they keep for the duration of their tenure with Winnetka Hockey. These numbers become very important to our players! We understand that there can be connections to certain numbers and aversions to others, but we are also responsible for making sure there are no duplications.
UNIFORM PASSDOWN PROGRAM
Winnetka updated our travel uniforms for the 26/27 season. In hopes of assisting families with this transition, we launched the Uniform Passdown Program. While the opportunity to get a game uniform passed down has passed, please still use this program to post and look for shells and accessories!
HOUSE LEAGUE UNIFORMS
House League players will receive uniforms (jerseys) as part of the program with registration. Players will received branded jerseys at the start of the House League season.
Equipment Loaner Program
The Winnetka Park District has loaner equipment available for NO CHARGE to children in the Hockey Skating programs or the House League. This will fit most all children ages 5-8.
Simply go to the front desk of the Ice Arena and fill out a form with your credit card number. The equipment needs to be returned at the conclusion of the season.
